Before & After

It’s hard for most of us to imagine any way of life other than the way we live today. We have all been conditioned to accept that we are born, we are raised by our parents, then pushed through kindergarten, elementary school, high school, and college, hopefully coming out the other end as a useful and dutiful contributor to the capitalist society we live in. On the way we learn that the only way to have a good standard of living in our adult life, defined by the amount of things we own, and the size of our bank accounts, houses, cars and grownup toys like boats, RVs, and skidoos, is to get a high paying job. It doesn't matter whether that job is actually beneficial to society as a whole, often well paid jobs are destructive to people’s lives or the environment or both, as long as we get the money at the end of the day which is all that seems to matter.

The current system is littered with unnecessary, wasteful, overly complex, and destructive goods, services, and processes that have accumulated over decades of a flawed system. There are numerous social issues caused by this unfair and corrupt system, which will go away and benefit us all when the world transitions to the Nutopian model.
