Please read this Susan
Aren’t you tired of reading and writing about any number of social issues, injustices, and downright atrocities all around the world and yet nothing changes? So many people for so long have tried to bring about change by commenting on the issues and hoping for some action, but rarely does anything significant ever happen as a result!
Our Nutopia Project is all about designing and building an alternative system to the broken and corrupt one we have today, and focusing all our efforts on the solution instead of the futile bickering with bigots and naysayers and trying to get the attention of the powerful few who want nothing more than to keep the status quo.
We have a vision (of course a naïve one to many who can’t or refuse to see the world other than through the lens of today) for a better life for all people, and we are attempting to mobilize the global population, many of whom are disaffected, poor, or persecuted people living a nightmare in the crazy and unfair world we live in today, and to channel their collective effort to bring about real and lasting change.
Please take a look around our web site to get a sense for what we are trying to do. We have only just started and we may all be dreamers or crackpots with pipedreams, but maybe, just maybe, this could be the start of something to truly change the system before it is too late for us, our children, and our planet.
Please contact us or email us if you would like to hear more about how you can help.
Thank you for your time!

Before & After

Economy

Before

Today the economy seems to matter more than anything else and it is our guide to the health of our civilization. In our fragile interconnected economies all around the world, high economic growth seems to bring stability to the world, but low or stagnant economic growth brings misery, despair, crime, and unrest. The boom and bust cycles have been with us for decades, producing winners and losers, where the lucky ones keep their jobs and can have a fairly normal life, while others lose their jobs, their homes, their self-respect, and are desperate to find a way out of it.

While it's unfortunate that poor economic growth leads to such misery for many, in the past economic downturns are usually eventually followed by an economic recovery where we find the magic again, with increases in production, requiring more people to be employed, who now have more money in their pockets, to spend on more products and services, to drive more production, and so it continues. The trouble is that continuous economic growth is impossible on a finite planet with limited natural resources, so the "economic growth" model is unsustainable, and we can see signs of the dire consequences of its failure all around us today.

Unfortunately no politician or elected leader will ever denounce "economic growth" as a failed concept because there are seemingly no alternatives to the current system, and failure to grow the economy leads to an unhappy population. Capitalism strives for high employment, high productivity, and high consumption, and everyone alive today has known no other way, and has been conditioned to play their dutiful part in the system by getting educated, working the best part of their adult life, and consuming as many goods and services as possible.

After

In Nutopia there is no concept of an "economy". Maximum employment is not a goal, instead people work to fulfill the needs of the community not to increase output and production for more growth. The work needed is equally shared among the citizens and all have their needs met, and there is no concept of being "unemployed" or the misery that comes with it. Contrary to the world we live in today, a lower human labor requirement is a sign of our success which is the absolute opposite of capitalism where high unemployment is considered to be failure.

The needs of the community are satisfied with the production and manufacturing of goods and the provision of services but there is no desire to continually innovate for the sake of more production and consumption to keep the economy going. Innovation and the advancement of science and technology are alive and well in Nutopia but the focus is entirely on research and development to solve problems not to produce frivolous and unnecessary items that are superfluous to requirements. The "needs" of the community are put forward, identified, and approved by the people using the Guardian System so that new goods and services are created to satisfy the requirements of the community, but there is no business sector or group of entrepreneurs trying to come up with new gadgets and other unnecessary products to try and entice the mindlessly consuming public.
