Religion in the 21st century is a dominant force. Organized religion influences every aspect of our lives and there is widespread conflict all around the world as groups, communities, countries, and entire regions fail to live peacefully and coexist with other people who identify themselves with a different religion. Millions of people have perished over thousands of years and millions of others have suffered as one religion tries to dominate over others. All this happens without a single verifiable piece of evidence that supports the existence of a deity, god, or other supernatural being, and yet it continues to have such an unbelievable influence and control over billions of people all around the world.

Nutopia does not recognize any religion. This will be very controversial to many people but the vision of Nutopia is that it is a new start for humanity with a modern society that respects people and their individual beliefs but it does not allow our progress to be stalled by the notion that we should be guided by the beliefs of old men around camp fires thousands of years ago. In Nutopia we follow the laws and rules that we have come up with as humans in the modern day based on what we know today from our advancements in science, and our moral compass based on what we know to be right as humans not what was supposedly commanded to us by a supernatural being of the past.

No one in Nutopia is identified as belonging to any religion and there are no public places such as churches, mosques, or synagogues dedicated to worship. Every citizen is free to believe in anything they want, including the existence of any supernatural or spiritual being, and they are also free to gather as groups in shared community centers, but religion has absolutely no influence over Nutopia or any of its policies.
