Depending on where you live and the quality of your life it might be difficult for you to see why there is a need for Nutopia. There is no doubt that our species has made significant advances and when we look at our incredible accomplishments with our innovation in science and technology in the world today, it is easy to fool ourselves in to thinking that we are invincible as a species and we will overcome every obstacle and use our ingenuity to continually advance our progress. Unfortunately this optimistic view fails to acknowledge that we are trapped in a socioeconomic system that is mathematically impossible to sustain. We cannot tweak or modify capitalism to avert disaster, the only option for our long term survival is to reinvent ourselves, otherwise it is absolutely inevitable that the stresses and strains of increasing population, demand on natural resources, the disparity between the rich and poor, and the continual environmental destruction will bring the world in to a new and inevitable era of chaos, misery and suffering.

Changing to the sustainable system of Nutopia does not mean that we abandon our technological advances and live a life of scarcity. Building a society from the ground up means that we can use our incredible ability to design a sustainable system which is fair to all people, provides a happy, meaningful, and purposeful existence for all people, while responsibly protecting the Earth and ensuring that all its natural resources are preserved for thousands of generations to come. Nutopia will literally transform humanity from a species of greed and selfishness to one of sharing and compassion because it gives everyone everything they need to be happy and everyone has the same as everyone else. In Nutopia there are no winners and losers, no rich and poor, no makers and takers, no haves and have nots, all are treated the same in both what they give and what they receive.
