The production of all plant and animal food, and the production and delivery of meals in Nutopia is all under the control of the Guardian System to make sure that food is always available, to minimize wasted food, and to satisfy the food desires of the citizens, while always maintaining a healthy population.

Food Production

All food grown is done in a way which protects the environment, respects animals, and which ensures that all food is free from harmful chemicals and other contaminants. The Guardian System knows every detail of every citizen regarding their food consumption, such as their allergies, preferences for individual meats, fruit, vegetables, their portion requirements, and their food consumption history, and all this aggregated data is used to guide the food production system to ensure that the right food is being grown at the right time.

Central Meal Production

Meals are chosen by citizens using the Guardian System, which are all then produced in a central facility, and then delivered to people on the Under Ground Pod Network. People don’t shop for groceries, stockpile their fridges, freezers, and pantries with food which often goes bad and is wasted, and they don’t have to spend hours of their spare time planning, cooking, cleaning, and fetching ingredients for meals for themselves and their families. Instead, every citizen can request any meal at any time from a huge menu of options, all prepared exactly how they want it using nutritious ingredients, from a clean central environment which is largely automated, and is free from contamination. Meals can be requested from home, work, or from one of the many dining facilities in the community, knowing that all food is prepared in a central and clean location, unlike the many unhygienic and filthy restaurant kitchens of today.
