Framework

There is no government, or any governing body, or group, or any elected officials in Nutopia. Once a person becomes a citizen of Nutopia by joining or being born in to a Nutopia community, their everyday life is determined by the Guardian System. Every activity such as working on a task assigned to them, requesting a meal, using the transportation system, attending a Health Checkupup or any number of their other day to day activities are recorded in the Guardian System.

No one owns any property or possessions in Nutopia and everyone has the same rights and responsibilities. The absence of property, a financial system, an income system, and a taxation system means that the need for a governing body to make budgets, collect taxes, and allocate resources is eliminated.

Today we have a government hierarchy of people from the President of the United States all the way down to a clerk in a town hall. All these people are appointed and hired by other people in a corrupt system which is largely nothing to do with a person’s qualifications or suitability for a particular job, and often these people get cushy pen pushing jobs and a whopping retirement package after their mediocre contribution to society over their career. In Nutopia the Guardian System handles all the labor requirements of society and assigns tasks based on known facts about the requirements of the task, a person’s Skills and experience with relevant tasks, and their Citizen Standing in the community which is based on cumulative ratings from other people.

Voting

While most of society is managed by the Guardian System, some decisions will benefit from and serve the population better when people have input. The Nutopia voting system is based on technology not elected officials so it creates the ultimate democratic process. This direct democracy means that you no longer vote in elections for someone to merely represent you and hope that they will vote on issues the way you want them to. You now have the confidence to know that your vote is free from corruption and unfair influence and that the voting system is secure and accurate. Issues will be automatically put forward by the Guardian System as needed and people can also put forward issues for the community to vote on. To cast a vote on a particular issue, the person must first complete a series of questions and answers to make sure that they fully understand the issue, unlike today where anyone can vote regardless of their knowledge.
