From the moment we are first born all the way though our toddler years, our childhood, and our adolescent and teenage years, most of us have access to an array of toys and games that are bought for us to play with just because our parents want us to be entertained or on special occasions such as birthdays and Christmas. Over the years we accumulate mountains of them, many of which just collect dust on shelves, and some not even opened because they went unnoticed during a present opening frenzy one Christmas morning. Even the best toys and games tend to be played with only for a short time because we outgrow them or because we become bored with them, and if they don't fill our basements and closets then they end up in yard sales or even find their way to a landfill after we put them in the trash. Nearly every household has every popular game such as Chess, Monopoly, Shoots & Ladders, Hangman, and Scrabble, but they are used for maybe just a few hours each year if at all. Millions of toys and games come off the production lines every year to supply the demand from the next generation of kids and families. Most toys and games like everything else manufactured today are made with the cheapest materials and are not made to last, so they quickly become tattered, frayed, and broken.

In Nutopia no one owns any possessions including toys and games. Toys and games are manufactured at a very high quality but in small numbers based on the calculated popularity and the the population of different ages, all handled by the Guardian System. No home has any toys or games in storage at any one time, instead if a person wants to play with a toy or game then they request it using the Guardian System and it id delivered immediately on the Under Ground Pod Network. The amount of time that the toy or game is located at the home depends again on the popularity and demand for the item. If there are several of a particular item available and the recent demand for it is low, then perhaps it can be kept for a few days, however a popular item might need to be returned at the end of the day so that others can use it the following day.
