Telemarketers and their phone calls to our homes and cellphones are relentless. We simply can't stop them and is seems that the problem gets worse and worse each year. We enter our phone numbers on "do not call" lists, we change our phone numbers, and we politely ask for our names to be removed from lists when we get called, but it makes no difference. The calls keep coming and we now don't pick up the phone if it is not a number we recognize. Telemarketing companies keep finding new ways to trick us in to answering so the battle continues. Telemarketers are the heroes of our capitalist economy as they try to push every new product or service down our throats and every credit card company calls us to get us to sign up, or to increase our spending limit, or to add new features, we just can't escape from it all.

After

In Nutopia there is nothing to buy and nothing to sell and no one is trying to get us to use any product or service. There is no need to make calls to people other than if they are known to each other. People do not have home phones and office phones and cellphones, everyone just has a Portable Access Device which is tied directly to their Citizen Identification Number. There are no phone numbers which can be added, changed, or disguised, a person can call another person using their Citizen Identification Number providing that they have already established contact. To establish contact one person simply requests from the other person to be an established contact which they can accept or reject.
