Please read this Susan
Aren’t you tired of reading and writing about any number of social issues, injustices, and downright atrocities all around the world and yet nothing changes? So many people for so long have tried to bring about change by commenting on the issues and hoping for some action, but rarely does anything significant ever happen as a result!
Our Nutopia Project is all about designing and building an alternative system to the broken and corrupt one we have today, and focusing all our efforts on the solution instead of the futile bickering with bigots and naysayers and trying to get the attention of the powerful few who want nothing more than to keep the status quo.
We have a vision (of course a naïve one to many who can’t or refuse to see the world other than through the lens of today) for a better life for all people, and we are attempting to mobilize the global population, many of whom are disaffected, poor, or persecuted people living a nightmare in the crazy and unfair world we live in today, and to channel their collective effort to bring about real and lasting change.
Please take a look around our web site to get a sense for what we are trying to do. We have only just started and we may all be dreamers or crackpots with pipedreams, but maybe, just maybe, this could be the start of something to truly change the system before it is too late for us, our children, and our planet.
Please contact us or email us if you would like to hear more about how you can help.
Thank you for your time!

Starting over

The powerful forces which are deliberately preserving the status quo in our capitalist world today are incredibly strong. Corporations, the media, and our puppet politicians have a stranglehold on our lives and are destroying our planet. We protest and they just ignore us, knowing that their wealth and power cannot be challenged in our utterly corrupt system.

The world today is hugely complex and globalization over the last couple of decades has added another level of complexity to the world with economies of all nations being interconnected so that now the failure of one can have severe consequences on the others. While most would agree that a democratic society is better than one ruled by a dictator, the developed world with its mixed economies and democratic governments has many huge and significant problems. Nations often have layer upon layer of bureaucracy which has brought our governments to a standstill and made them so ineffective, and corporations have unfair influence over our elected leaders so that rarely are the interests of the people served.

While democratic societies are intended to encourage compromise so that policies reflect the views of all people, the democratic process is simply broken. Money today has completely taken over the political process and the interests of corporations come before the interests of the people as politicians seek reelection with their campaign contributions. This abuse of money and power is so entrenched in our politics that it cannot be changed by the democratic process, and changes to improve our lives and to preserve our environment by the gradual political process will not come in time to save us.

Nutopia is for people who want a society based on common sense which takes all the technological advances we have made and leaves all of our mistakes behind. It is impossible to change the society we have today in the time that we have so the only viable solution is to build a new society from the ground up with the right principles to guide it.

Our very survival as a species is at risk if we don't change our current course from a world of endless consumption to one of sustainability. Nutopia is being designed so that autonomous communities can be built in places all around the world without affecting people or being influenced by people in our current societies. Once Nutopia communities demonstrate that there is a better way for all people to have a good quality of life while still preserving the environment for other generations to come, we can start transitioning our current societies to the Nutopia model.
